GDS Mechanical was founded in 1998. From the beginning, we have focused beyond ‘getting the job’ to ‘doing it right’. We put together a staff that combines technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, focus on work quality and strict adherence to schedule. It’s a common sense approach, but one that’s not common in the marketplace.
Here are a few of the people who drive the continued success of GDS Mechanical:
CEO
P.J. is a co-founder of GDS Mechanical. P.J. has primary responsibility for project estimating and integrating the management of all of GDS Mechanical’s ongoing projects. He works directly with clients, architects, GDS’s field force, and subcontractors. P.J. focuses on adherence to schedule and budget, managing changes, and bringing our work in on-time and to our client’s satisfaction. He holds an MS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois.
VP, Field Operations
Peter is a co-founder of GDS Mechanical. He is responsible for the entire field activities of the company from project launch to close-out. Peter brings over 20 years of experience in HVAC and general contracting. He holds an MS in Accounting from SUNY-Albany.
Senior Field Engineer
George, as he’s known around here, has been aboard GDS Mechanical since 2002. George plans, schedules, and coordinates mechanical and electrical work for multiple concurrent projects. Additionally, he provides engineering support for HVAC installation and setup, and provides experienced input to the project estimating and planning process. George holds an M.E. from CUNY, and is a member of the American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Senior Project Manager
Tony takes care of field project management. He is a real ‘roll up your sleeves’ guy. He supervises daily jobsite workflow, and makes sure that the job is done right. (Tony used to fly F-16s, so you know he's not afraid to take charge.) Tony brings 27 years of construction and facilities experience to the table.
Director of Quality Assurance
Ricardo has over 20 years of architectural industry experience, ranging from conceptual design through construction administration, quality control, multi-project management, and accountability for client satisfaction. Ricardo is a graduate of Mercer College, and a Temple University Bachelor of Architecture candidate. He is also an associate member of the American Institute of Architects.
